How to initiate a connection
The connection process must be started from directly within the QuickBooks or Quicken application—not from your Flourish portal.
- Open QuickBooks or Quicken: Navigate to the ‘Accounts’ or ‘Banking’ section of the application.
- Search for Flourish: Select the option to ‘Link Account’ and then search for or find Flourish in the list of financial institutions.
- Authorize & select accounts: You will be redirected to a Flourish-hosted page where you will be prompted to enter your Flourish login credentials. Once authenticated, you will be taken to an authorization screen where you can select the Flourish Cash account(s) for which you would like to authorize a connection. Once you select your desired accounts and authorize, you will be redirected back to QuickBooks or Quicken.
- Start date for importing: If you are connecting a new Flourish Cash account, QuickBooks or Quicken will prompt you to select the date from which you would like to start importing transaction data.
Once authorized, account information and transaction data will be updated and imported into your QuickBooks or Quicken instance on a daily basis.
Important Note: Each new Flourish Cash account created after the initial connection will require authorization. To connect a new account, return to the QuickBooks or Quicken authorization flow and select the new account from the list.
How to revoke a connection
If you would like to disconnect your Flourish Cash account from QuickBooks or Quicken, you can easily do so from within the Flourish platform.
On web (not currently supported in the iOS app)

- Scroll to the ‘Connected apps’ section, which has a list of authorized financial applications.
- Select the connection you wish to end (e.g., QuickBooks or Quicken).
- Click on the option to Disconnect the connection.
Note: Revoking the connection will end the data feed for all Flourish Cash accounts that are currently authorized for the selected application.
